Project Schedule Management

Meeting the varied scheduling needs of those involved in a construction project may be the most difficult challenge we will face as we create and manage a project schedule. The project schedule must be presented in a format that clearly communicates the project goals to multiple entities. This workshop leads participants through a hands-on application based learning exercise using an example project that reflects the challenges we face when scheduling a project.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the scheduler and tools used to create an effective schedule.

  • Identify contractual issues considered when developing and managing a project schedule.

  • Investigate common schedule manipulation tricks and ploys.

  • Identify the schedule as a management tool to be proactive in avoiding potential delays and react to changes.

  • Learn to identify delays, accelerate a schedule and create a recovery schedule.
